Luanda, Aug. 26, 2026 (Lusa) – The Banco Angolano de Investimentos (BAI) has launched the first Public Subscription Offer (OPS) for its bonds, with a total value of up to 50 billion kwanzas, available to the public until 14 September.
The process is taking place via the market platform managed by the Angolan Debt and Securities Exchange (BODIVA), in its capacity as the Regulated Markets Management Company, which publicly announced the operation in a press release.
The offer will be open to the public until 3:00 p.m. on 14 September 2026 and involves the issuance of 5,000,000 bonds, each with a nominal value of 10,000 kwanzas, for a total nominal value of up to 50 billion kwanzas (€46.7 million at the current exchange rate), it explains.
The securities, it explains, «represent the bond issue known as ‘BAI Senior Unsecured Sustainability'».
«This pioneering transaction paves the way for new issuers and investors interested in sustainable debt instruments, strengthening the maturity and diversification of the national capital market», the statement adds.
The press release states that the physical and financial settlement of the bonds subscribed to under the offer is scheduled for 21 September 2026.
