Vittorio Frescobaldi, the great patriarch of the famed Florentine winemaking family, has died at 97, his family said Wednesday.
    Born in Florence in 1928, the marquess was named Cavaliere del Lavoro (Knight of Employment) in 1977 for his work as "a passionate farmer." He belonged to the thirty-first generation of the noble Florentine Frescobaldi family.
