This exhibition represents an opportunity to position Timor-Leste as a new destination for trade and investment,” Elias de Jesus Fátima, secretary of the Dili International Exhibition, told Lusa.

According to the same source, the Government and international partners hope the event will also diversify the economy and promote the integration of Timor-Leste into ASEAN.

Delegations from countries such as Cambodia, Brunei Darussalam, Indonesia, Malaysia, Australia, China, Macau, India, Fiji, among others, will participate in the exhibition, with the presence of 93 international companies and 157 Timorese companies also confirmed.

The event includes a diverse programme covering business and product promotion, debates, sessions for potential business partnerships, presentations of business and investment opportunities by government agencies and the Timor-Leste Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI-TL), as well as information on credit and loan support from the National Commercial Bank of Timor-Leste.

The initiative aims to provide a platform for national and international traders, manufacturers and industrialists to collaborate and invest in the country, but also to produce and promote the ‘made in Timor-Leste’ brand in ASEAN and global markets.
