Lusa - Business News - Portugal: Stock market closes with benchmark index off 0.2% in line with Europe

Lisbon, Aug. 13, 2026 (Lusa) - The Lisbon stock market closed lower on Thursday, with the PSI index falling by 0.21% to 9,254.47 points, following the downward trend seen across the rest of Europe.

Of the 16 listed companies that make up the benchmark PSI (Portuguese Stock Index), 13 fell, two rose and NOS remained unchanged at €4.80.

Leading the fallers was Altri, which dropped 0.84% to €4.73.

Also recording falls of less than 1% were Corticeira Amorim (€6.76), REN (€3.55), Navigator (€3.23), Mota-Engil (€4.54), Ibersol (€9.80), Galp (€20.46), CTT (€6.35), EDP (€4.55), Sonae SGPS (€2.02), Semapa (€20.20), EDP Renewables (€13.84) and Jerónimo Martins (€17.20).

Conversely, leading the gains was BCP, which rose by 0.46% to €1.10, followed by Teixeira Duarte, which rose by 0.10% to €0.49.

Elsewhere in Europe, London fell by 0.56%, Paris by 0.28%, Madrid by 0.18% and Frankfurt by 0.12%.
