TIRANA, Aug 13 /ATA/ The “Agritourism AL” app has evolved into an information platform for agritourism and rural tourism destinations across Albania, helping tourists and visitors plan their trips and explore experiences focused on nature, gastronomy and Albanian traditions.

Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Andis Salla said the app can be downloaded to a mobile phone or accessed online.

“Through the app, users can find agritourism facilities, wineries, campsites, cultural tours and rural tourism destinations in different parts of the country,” Salla said.

Although they fall under the same category, agritourism destinations offer distinct experiences shaped by their location, regional cuisine, authentic architecture echoing traditional heritage, and other features that give each destination its own unique character.

“Agritourism AL” is an online guide for those looking to visit agritourism farms, sample local products and traditional dishes, and enjoy the unique experience offered by rural areas through this emerging branch of Albania’s tourism sector.

The platform also provides information on agritourism tours and activities, while allowing operators to promote their businesses through the platform.

According to statistics from the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, by the end of 2025, more than 200 agritourism farms and routes covering shepherds’ huts, wine, olive oil, citrus, mussels and fish had been registered on the platform, providing valuable information for agribusinesses and visitors to these scenic destinations across Albania.

Thanks to grant support and tax incentives, agritourism has become a new reality for rural areas, helping to strengthen the local economy today and the national economy in the future.
