Italian retail sales increased by 0.5% in value terms and by 0.6% in volume in November compared to October, Istat said on Friday.
The national statistics agency said sales were up by 1.3% in value and 0.5% in volume with respect to November 2024.
"Compared with November 2024, retail sales grew by 2.1% in large-scale distribution, while it declined by 0.5% for small-scale distribution and by 1.9% for non-store sales." Istat said.
"Online sales rose by 8.3% over the same period.
"In the non-food product category, nearly all product groups exhibited positive year-on-year growth.
"The most significant increase was observed in Cosmetic and toilet articles (+5.9%), while the largest decline was observed in other goods (-0.4%)".
