Lusa - Business News - Angola: N'Dola Sul oil project expected to produce 25,000 barrels a day

Luanda, Dec. 29, 2025 (Lusa) - The Angolan National Agency for Petroleum, Gas and Biofuels (ANPG), Chevron and other partners have started production at the N'Dola Sul project, which is expected to produce around 25,000 barrels of oil per day, the concessionaire announced on Monday.

With 12 wells, the N'Dola Sul project is expected to produce up to 25,000 barrels of oil per day, destined for the Malango Terminal in Cabinda, as well as 50 million cubic feet of gas, which will be sent to the Angola LNG plant.

According to an ANGP note, production began on 24 December.

Paulino Jerónimo, chair of the board of directors of ANPG, quoted in the note, highlighted the start of production in this project, considering that it represents "a new step forward" in the series of investments in the sector by partners who are betting on Angola.

Chevron's general manager for Southern Africa, Frank Cassulo, said that the project reflects the commitment of Cabinda Gulf Oil Company Limited (CABGOC), Chevron's subsidiary in Angola and operator of Block 0, to promoting local content in Angola and developing resources efficiently in the Block 0 concession.

ANPG, CABGOC and partners in the contractor group, namely Sonangol, TotalEnergies and Azule Energy, are members of the N'Dola Sul project.
