Lusa - Business News - Portugal: Stocks close higher despite undefined European direction

Lisbon, Dec. 2, 2025 (Lusa) - The Lisbon stock market closed higher on Tuesday, with the PSI index rising 1.27% to 8,210.02 points and EDP Renováveis driving gains in a Europe with no clear trend.

Of the 16 companies listed on the PSI, nine rose, and seven fell.

Leading the gains was EDP Renováveis, which rose 3.76% to €11.87.

Other major gains included BCP, which rose 2.47% to €0.84, NOS, which rose 2.45% to €3.77, Teixeira Duarte, which rose 2.37% to €0.69, CTT, which rose 2.11% to €7.25, EDP, which added 1.65% to €3.88, and Sonae SGPS, which rose 1.05% to €1.54.

Mota-Engil (€4.68) and Galp (€17.42) saw increases of less than 1%.

On the other hand, Ibersol led the declines, falling 1.58% to €9.94.

Altri also stood out, falling 1.10% to €4.48, as did Corticeira Amorim, which fell 1.06% to €6.55.

Declines of less than 1% were REN (€3.30), Jerónimo Martins (€20.48), Semapa (€16.66) and Navigator (€3.02).

Elsewhere in Europe, Frankfurt and Madrid rose 0.51%, while Paris fell 0.28% and London 0.01%.
