Lusa - Business News - Portugal: Stock market closes with benchmark index up 0.23% led by EDPR, Galp

Lisbon, Nov. 3, 2025 (Lusa) - The Lisbon stock market closed higher on Monday, up 0.23% to 8,446.04 points, driven by rises of around 2% in EDP Renováveis and Galp Energia.

Of the 16 companies included in the benchmark PSI (Portuguese Share Index), nine fell and seven rose.

Leading the gains was EDP Renováveis, which rose 2.05% to €12.94, followed by Galp Energia, which advanced 1.98% to €17.74, and REN, which gained 0.77% to €3.29.

EDP Renováveis parent company, EDP rose 0.32% to €4.32, while Corticeira Amorim gained 0.55% to €7.32 and Navigator 0.47% to €3.02.

In the opposite direction, the declines were led by CTT, which fell 5.56% to €7.13, after announcing (on Thursday) that its net profit rose 18.4% in the first nine months of the year, compared to the same period in 2024, to €32.8 million.

Also in negative territory were BCP (-0.16% to €0.76), Mota-Engil (-1.75% to €5.90), Teixeira Duarte (-1.15% to €0.69) and Jerónimo Martins (-0.36% to €22.26).

Elsewhere in Europe, the trend was mixed, with the main indexes in London falling 0.16%, similarly, Paris, which lost 0.14%, while Frankfurt rose 0.73%, Madrid 0.03% and Milan 0.11%.
