ATA - Delvina designated as immovable cultural heritage

TIRANA, March 30 /ATA/ The National Council for Material Cultural Heritage has designated the town of Delvinë as immovable cultural property, under the category of “Urban Architectural Ensemble.”

 

The Minister of Tourism, Culture, and Sports, Blendi Gonxhja, announced the news via a social media post, emphasizing that the designation as an “Urban Architectural Ensemble” recognizes the town’s unique historical, architectural, and urban significance, with the aim of protecting, preserving, conserving, and promoting its cultural heritage.

 

“Through this designation, the aim is not only to preserve the town’s historical and cultural identity but also to promote the development of cultural tourism, encourage restorative interventions, and raise public awareness about the importance of cultural heritage as a valuable national asset,” stated Minister Gonxhja.
