Lusa - Business News - Portugal: 65th ModaLisboa opens Wednesday at sites around capital

Lisbon, Oct. 1, 2025 (Lusa) - The 65th ModaLisboa, which includes fashion shows, talks, exhibitions, performances and a temporary shop, kicks off today at MUDE, and runs until Sunday at other locations in the city centre, such as Pátio da Galé and Palacete Gomes Freire.

Today, MUDE - Museu do Design is hosting Fast Talks, a public debate space subject to prior registration, and the inauguration of the final presentation of the “beat by be@t” sustainability project. On display will be the results of projects developed by teams made up of fashion designers (Adriana Oliveira, Francisca Santos, Nicole Feliciano and Luís Carvalho) and small and medium-sized textile companies.

In this edition, ModaLisboa will take place over five days instead of the usual four, will have more moments open to the public and will debut a new project: Fashion House, which will be open between Thursday and Sunday at Palacete Gomes Freire, at 98 Rua Gomes Freire.

The space will be free to enter and "open to everyone", except for the presentations of the collections by Roselyn Silva, Ana Margarida Feijão and Gandaia, "due to public restraint", according to the director of ModaLisboa, Eduarda Abbondanza, speaking to Lusa.

At the Fashion House, there will be a ModaLisboa pop-up shop, presentations, exhibitions, performances, happenings, and talks.

On the opening day of the Fashion House, Thursday, another novelty of this edition begins: ModaLisboa na Avenida, in partnership with the Avenida da Liberdade Association, which is free to enter and will run until Sunday in various shops and other spaces along Avenida da Liberdade.

Most of the fashion shows take place between Friday and Sunday, especially in Pátio da Galé.

On Friday, the Pátio da Galé will host a new edition of the Sangue Novo competition, aimed at finalists from fashion design courses at national and international schools and young designers at the start of their careers, and the presentation of proposals from Francisca Nabinho, Bárbara Anastácio, Alves/Gonçalves and 2B, the new brand from singer Bárbara Bandeira.

On Saturday, the collections of Gabriel Silva Barros, Mestre Studio, Luís Onofre, Gonçalo Peixoto, Kolovrat and Carlos Gil will be unveiled. On that day, Behén and Olga Noronha's creations will also be unveiled at MUDE.

On the last day of ModaLisboa, Sunday, there will be presentations by Constança Entrudo, in a space in Alfama, Nuno Baltazar, at MUDE, Çal Pfungst, ARNDES, Duarte Hajime, Valentim Quaresma, Dino Alves, and Luís Carvalho.
