ZAGREB, 10 Sept (Hina) - This year’s 10th edition of the CRO Race cycling tour will begin on 30 September in Split, with the finish traditionally taking place in Zagreb on 5 October.
Over six stages, some of the world’s top cyclists will cover nearly 1,000 kilometres across Croatia.
The opening stage will run through Split-Dalmatia County, from Split to Sinj, which for the third year in a row will host the finish of the first stage.
This will be followed by the now traditional Biograd na Moru-Novalja route, also included for the third consecutive year.
The third stage, from Gospić to Rijeka, promises to be a highlight, while the prestigious title of queen stage is reserved for the fourth, from Krk to Labin.
The final two stages will take place in continental Croatia: the fifth from Karlovac to Sveta Nedelja, and the sixth from Samobor to Zagreb.
The race will feature 20 teams, seven of which hold WorldTour status: UAE Emirates-XRG, Bahrain Victorious, Red Bull-BORA-Hansgrohe, INEOS Grenadiers, Soudal-QuickStep, Arkéa-B&B Hotels and Jayco-AlUla. They will be joined by six UCI ProTeams and six Continental teams.
