ZAGREB, 9 Sept (Hina) - Croatia will showcase itself as a study destination at the EAIE Conference and Exhibition, Europe's largest higher education fair, taking place in Gothenburg from 9 to 12 September. Thirteen Croatian higher education institutions will present their study programmes offered in foreign languages.
The presentation is organised by the Ministry of Science, Education and Youth and the Agency for Mobility and EU Programmes (AMPEU) under the Study in Croatia initiative.
This year's largest-ever national Study in Croatia booth will feature 13 institutions. Designed as a space for networking with international partners, the booth will highlight Croatia as a safe and attractive study destination which, alongside its well-known tourism, offers high-quality academic programmes. Its design is inspired by Croatia's natural beauty and cultural heritage.
The EAIE fair is one of the world's leading events in the field of higher education internationalisation. Last year's edition in Toulouse brought together over 7,300 participants from more than 100 countries, and a similar international turnout is expected this year in Gothenburg, with more than 250 exhibitors. The main themes will be sustainability and the impact of artificial intelligence on the future of higher education.
According to AMPEU, thousands of international students visit Croatia each year through exchange programmes, particularly Erasmus+. The Study in Croatia initiative aims to increase the number of foreign students enrolling in full study programmes in Croatia - an important step in addressing demographic challenges and the decline in domestic student numbers.
