Lisbon, Aug. 21, 2025 (Lusa) - The Portuguese stock market reversed course around 27 minutes after the start of the session and is still down 0.02% to 7,894.76 points, amid a Europe mostly in the red.
The PSI, Lisbon's main stock market index, had started the session up 0.05% to 7,989.79 points, after having closed up the previous day.
At around 08:27, of the 15 companies listed on the main index, seven were in negative territory, six unchanged (Sonae, REN, Ibersol, EDP Renováveis, Mota-Engil CTT) and two, BCP and EDP, in positive territory.
On the loss side, Corticeira Amorim fell 0.39% to €7.60, followed by NOS, which fell 0.38% to €3.96.
Also in the red were Semapa (-0.34% to €17.80), Navigator (-0.24% to €3.32), Altri (-0.20% to €5.08), Jerónimo Martins (-0.09% to €21.34) and Galp Energia (-0.06% to €16.25).
BCP continued to gain 0.56% to €0.79 and EDP rose 0.18% to €3.85.
At around the same time, most European stock markets were in negative territory, with the exception of London (FTSE100), which gained 0.08%, and Milan (FTSE MIB), which rose 0.28%.
Losses ranged from 0.19% in Paris (CAC 40) to 0.04% in Frankfurt (DAX).
