Lisbon, Aug. 19, 2025 (Lusa) - The Lisbon stock market closed higher on Tuesday, with the PSI index rising 1.05% to 7,962.93 points, following the positive trend experienced by its main European counterparts.

Of the 15 listed companies that make up the PSI, two went down, REN remained unchanged at €2.98 and the rest registered gains this session.

Leading the risers was Sonae, which added 2.62% to €1.33, followed by Nos, which gained 2.21% to €3.93 and BCP, which appreciated 1.57% to €0.79.

Also gaining more than 1% were EDP, which advanced 1.40% to €3.84, Altri, which added 1.19% to €5.11, Jerónimo Martins, which rose 1.15% to €21.20 and Ibersol, which grew 1.03% to €9.82.

Mota-Engil lost 1.23% to €5.63 and CTT fell 0.26% to €7.81.

Among Europe's main stock exchanges, Paris rose 1.21%, Frankfurt 0.45% and Madrid 0.34%, while London advanced 0.34%.
