Lisbon, July 14, 2025 (Lusa) - The Lisbon stock market closed Monday's trading session in negative territory, with falls of around 1% for CTT and Galp Energia penalising the PSI, on a mixed day among its main European counterparts.

The national benchmark index (PSI - Portuguese Stock Index) fell 0.25% to 7,707.65 points, with only five of the 15 listed companies recording gains in this session.

Leading the declines were CTT, whose shares fell 1.76% to €7.80, followed by Galp Energia, which lost 0.94% to €16.29.

Also falling were Nos, which lost 0.92% to €3.78, Mota-Engil, which fell 0.81% to €4.17, and EDP Renováveis, which dropped 0.29% to €10.18.

On the other hand, the gains were led by REN, which rose 0.49% to €3.10, BCP, which advanced 0.33% to €0.66, and EDP, which added 0.21% to €3.21.

Across Europe, it was a mixed day, with the Paris stock market closing down 0.27% and Frankfurt falling 0.37%, while the Spanish market rose 0.23%.

In a session without relevant macroeconomic references, both in the United States and in Europe, the stock markets are digesting the announcement by US President Donald Trump on Saturday 30% tariffs on products imported from the European Union and Mexico.
