Jannik Sinner said he thinks he still has room for improvement after coming from a set down to beat Carlos Alcaraz 4-6, 6-4, 6-4, 6-4 on Sunday to become the first Italian, male or female, to win a singles title at Wimbledon.
"I don't think I'm at my best because at 23 I don't think you can be in your best shape ever," said Italy's world number one after claiming his fourth Grand Slam and his 20th ATP title.
"So hopefully I can keep improving".
Sinner said he used the pain of his defeat to Alcaraz in the French Open final, in which he failed to convert three championship points, and said he knows he'll have to keep upping his game to keep ahead of the Spaniard.
"Even today I felt like he (Alcaraz) was doing couple of things better than I did," he said.
"That's something we will work on and prepare ourselves because he's going to come for us again.
"We have a big target on us, so we have to be prepared."
