Lisbon, Sept. 29, 2026 (Lusa) - EasyJet cabin crew will strike from 2 to 6 October and from 19 to 23 December, and authorities will maintain minimum service requirements for flights from Lisbon, Porto, and Faro to European cities, Funchal, Porto Santo, and Cabo Verde.
According to a notice published by the Directorate-General for Employment and Labour Relations (DGERT), on 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 October, easyJet will guarantee two daily Lisbon–Funchal–Lisbon services, totalling 10 services; one daily Porto–Funchal–Porto service, making a total of five flights, and one Porto–Porto Santo–Porto flight on 4 and 6 October, making a total of two flights.
The schedule also includes three daily services on the Lisbon–Geneva–Lisbon, Lisbon–Basel–Lisbon, Lisbon–Zurich–Lisbon, Faro–Geneva–Faro and Porto–Geneva–Porto routes, totalling 15 services.
The schedule also includes three daily round trips between Lisbon–Nantes–Lisbon, Lisbon–Bordeaux–Lisbon, Porto–Nantes–Porto, Porto–Bordeaux–Porto, Porto–Lyon–Porto, Porto–Nice–Porto, Porto–Paris Orly–Porto, Faro–Nantes–Faro and Faro–Lyon–Faro, making a total of 15 return flights; one daily return flight between Lisbon–London–Lisbon, making a total of five return flights; and one daily return flight between Lisbon–Luxembourg–Lisbon and Porto–Luxembourg–Porto, making a total of five return flights.
On 19, 20, 21, 22 and 23 December, the schedule offers two daily flights on the Lisbon–Funchal–Lisbon route, totalling 10 flights; two daily flights on the Porto–Funchal–Porto route, totalling 10; one flight on the Lisbon–Porto Santo–Lisbon route, on the scheduled day, three daily flights between Lisbon–Geneva–Lisbon, Lisbon–Basel–Lisbon, Porto–Geneva–Porto and Faro–Geneva–Faro, totalling 15.
The schedule also includes three daily flights between Lisbon–Nantes–Lisbon, Lisbon–Bordeaux–Lisbon, Porto–Nantes–Porto, Porto–Bordeaux–Porto, Porto–Lyon–Porto, Porto–Nice–Porto and Porto–Paris–Porto, totalling 15 flights.
The schedule also includes a daily flight between Lisbon–London–Lisbon, totalling five, and one daily flight each between Lisbon–Luxembourg–Lisbon and Porto–Luxembourg–Porto, totalling five.
A further two rotations between Lisbon–Luxembourg–Lisbon and Porto–Luxembourg–Porto, totalling five, and two rotations between Lisbon/Porto–Praia–Lisbon/Porto and Lisbon/Porto–São Vicente–Lisbon/Porto.
In September, easyJet crew members approved the strike action; industry sources estimate that around 500 scheduled flights from the Porto, Lisbon and Faro bases will be affected by the October strike.
The National Union of Civil Aviation Flight Personnel (SNPVAC) leadership tabled the motion, and members approved it unanimously, with 188 votes in favour.
The union highlighted the need for greater stability in flight schedules, equitable treatment of pilots regarding the compensation offered under the Company Agreement (AE), and a more balanced approach to overtime requests for commercial purposes.
