Lisbon, Sept. 7, 2026 (Lusa) - The Lisbon stock market closed higher on Monday, with the PSI index rising 0.32% to 9,419.13 points, against a largely negative backdrop across Europe.
Of the 16 listed companies that make up the benchmark PSI (Portuguese Stock Index), 10 fell, five rose and Sonae SGPS remained unchanged at €2.03.
Ibersol led the fallers, dropping 2.25% to €9.99.
Other notable fallers included CTT, which fell 1.54% to €6.39, and Semapa, which dropped 1.20% to €20.60.
Shares falling by less than 1% included Navigator (€3.22), Corticeira Amorim (€6.99), Jerónimo Martins (€18.11), Teixeira Duarte (€0.48), NOS (€4.91), Altri (€4.66) and REN (€3.49).
Conversely, leading the gains was EDP Renewables, which rose by a further 2.13% to €13.42.
Galp (€20.72), EDP (€4.69), Mota-Engil (€4.81) and BCP (€1.16) all posted gains of less than 1%.
Elsewhere in Europe, Frankfurt was down 0.15%, Madrid 0.14% and London 0.08%, whilst Paris was up 0.33%.
