Lisbon, July 1, 2026 (Lusa) - The Lisbon stock market closed lower on Wednesday, with the PSI index falling by 0.46% to 9,090.47 points, against a largely negative backdrop across Europe.
Of the 16 listed companies that make up the PSI (Portuguese Stock Index), 11 fell, four rose and Sonae SGPS remained unchanged at €2.02.
Leading the fallers was NOS, which dropped 3.07% to €4.89.
Other major fallers included REN, which dropped 2.38% to €3.68; EDP, which fell by 1.70% to €4.50; Teixeira Duarte, which also lost 1.70% to €0.52; and Altri, which fell by 1.58% to €4.68.
Falling by less than 1% were Navigator (€3.20), Mota-Engil (€4.63), Ibersol (€9.78), Jerónimo Martins (€16.71), Semapa (€20.25) and Galp (€18.61).
At the other end of the scale, CTT led the gains, rising by 3.03% to €5.96.
Gains of less than 1% were recorded by BCP (€1.04), EDP Renewables (€14.21) and Corticeira Amorim (€6.40).
Elsewhere in Europe, Paris fell by 0.79%, Madrid by 0.34% and London by 0.18%, whilst Frankfurt rose by 0.18%.
