ALGIERS - Minister of Interior, Local Authorities and Transport Saïd Sayoud was received in Paris by French President Emmanuel Macron, the ministry announced in a statement.

The statement added that "Sayoud was received on Tuesday at the Elysée Palace by French President Emmanuel Macron, followed by an expanded working session attended by French Interior Minister Laurent Nunez."

Accompanied by a high-level delegation, Sayoud visited France at the invitation of his French counterpart, following the latter's visit to Algeria on Feb. 16-17.
