TIRANA, May 10/ATA/ Under the spell of the immortal music of Ennio Morricone, Italia Square in Tirana transformed into a vivid artistic arena last night.

The 'Morricone conducts Morricone' concert was a cornerstone of this year’s Europe Day activities.

The concert was organized under the auspices of Prime Minister Edi Rama

Andrea Morricone conducted the Albanian Radio-Television Symphony Orchestra, performing iconic soundtracks composed by his father Ennio Morricone.

PM Rama shared today in the social media a video footage of the magical evening of May 9th of Europe, celebrated with the music of the legendary Ennio Morricone.

"It was a special, dignified performance of the Albanian Radio-Television Symphony Orchestra and the Opera and Ballet Theater choir, entitled "It was my father", conducted by his son Andrea Morricone", wrote Rama.

Renowned international soloists also performed such as pianist Cecilia Grillo, baritone Alessio Quaresima Escobar and soprano Vittoriana de Amicis.

The activity was carried out in collaboration with the Italian Institute of Culture, the Italian Embassy in Tirana, Albanian Radio-Television and the Opera and Ballet House./m.m/a.f/p.s./
