TIRANA, April 16 /ATA/ – Butrint National Park, southern Albania, recorded a 49% increase in visitor numbers in March compared with the same month a year earlier, according to official figures.
One of the country’s most visited cultural heritage sites, Butrint attracts both domestic and foreign tourists year-round, with visitor numbers continuing to trend upward.
The rise in visitor numbers was also reflected in revenues, with income from ticket sales up 42% year-on-year in March.
The park officially opened its tourist season on April 1, although it remains accessible throughout the year. With the arrival of spring, visitor activity typically intensifies, combining cultural exploration with the site’s natural setting.
From April 1 to October 31, the park opens at 08:30 a.m, with last entry at 06:00 p.m. and closing at 08:00 p.m.
