Lusa - Business News - Portugal: Stocks end trading day flat, buoyed by Galp, EDP group

Lisbon, Mar. 5, 2026 (Lusa) - The Lisbon stock market closed flat on Thursday, with the PSI rising 0.01% to 8,932.42 points, amid losses in other European markets, supported by Galp and the EDP Group's listed companies.

Of the 16 listed companies that make up the national benchmark index, seven ended the session in positive territory and the remaining nine closed in the red.

The PSI's performance was mainly supported by Galp Energia and the EDP group's listed companies.

The Portuguese oil company advanced 2.27% to €19.15, while EDP Renováveis rose 1.02% to €12.86.

The parent company gained 0.45% to €4.28.

Ibersol also posted gains of more than 1%, rising 2.30% to €11.10, as did Nos, which gained 1.67% to €5.47, and Navigator, which advanced 1.10% to €3.32.

In contrast, and avoiding more significant gains, were BCP, whose shares fell 2.53% to 82 cents, and Mota-Engil, which fell 2.29% to €4.62.

In the other main European markets, Germany's DAX fell 1.61%, France's CAC-40 fell 1.49%, Britain's FTSE 100 lost 1.45%, and Spain's IBEX-35 fell 1.38%.
