TIRANA, February 1/ATA/ Central State Film Archive of Albania is going ahead with its work on digital restoration of Albanian cinematographic works.

Currently, “Her Children” (1957) feature film is under restoration process. This is a film by Hysen Hakani, director and script-writer and is being restored for the first time.

Minister of Tourism, Culture and Sports Blendi Gonxhja presented in the social media footage from the work being carried out at the Central State Film Archive, writing that the restoration process includes digital scanning of the original film material, image stabilization, cleaning of physical damage, correction of contrast and density and recovery of visual quality as close as possible to the original version, while respecting the professional principles of preserving the authenticity of the work.

“Her Children” is an Albanian feature film, produced by the “New Albania” film studios in 1957. The soundtrack is by Tish Daija. The film premiered on February 22, 1958, in Tirana.

The restoration of this film follows the restoration of several other Albanian films that have remained etched to the memory of the people and are now part of the cultural heritage for future generations. /p.s./
