Italian exports increased by 0.4% in November with respect to the previous month while imports fell by 3.2%, Istat said on Thursday.
Exports increased by 0.5% for EU countries and by 0.4% for non-EU countries, the national statistics agency said.
Imports stayed unchanged for EU countries and dropped by 7.3% for non-EU countries, according to Istat.
The agency said exports were down by 0.1% compared to November 2024, while imports dropped 3.5%.
It said Italy had a trade surplus of 5.078 billion euros in November, a figure that rises to 8.450 billion excluding energy.
Istat said the trade surplus for the first 11 months of 2025 came in at 44.7 billion euros, up from 43.1 billion in the equivalent period last year.
