TIRANA, January 16 /ATA/ The 7th Ground Forces Detachment departed today for Bulgaria as part of the NATO mission in Novo Selo.
Minister of Defense Pirro Vengu praised the Ground Forces, which are on the front lines of collective security.
According to him, “This is another mission for the Ground Force personnel and another opportunity to keep the Albanian flag high, side by side with the allied flags”.
Vengu also praised the VI Detachment, which successfully completed the mission, representing Albania with professionalism, discipline and high responsibility.
“The VII Detachment takes the baton, ready to show that dedication, readiness and NATO standards are values that the Ground Force maintains in every mission”, said Vengu.
Starting from November 29, 2022, the Armed Forces are engaged in the Enhanced Vigilance Activity (eVA) in Novo Selo, Bulgaria.
The detachment of 30 soldiers is deployed as part of the NATO battalion group on the eastern borders of the Alliance. The leading country of this mission is Italy and the detachment are on 6-month rotation. /m.m/j.p/p.s./
