Joaquim Carreira, President and CEO of Lusa since 2021, has been reappointed for a four-year term and two new executive members, Luís Ferreira Lopes and Ana Alves, have joined the board, the office of the Minister of the Presidency announced.
With a degree in Economics and Business Management from the Portuguese Catholic University and experience in management positions in large business groups, Joaquim Carreira ‘has been reappointed to the position, and two new executive members have been appointed - Luís Ferreira Lopes and Ana Alves - who will now serve a four-year term,’ the statement reads.
Luís Ferreira Lopes has been appointed vice-president. A journalist specialising in economics, with a background in media and management, and experience in editorial management in national and international contexts, Luís Ferreira Lopes has also worked as a commentator and moderator in various media outlets, as an advisor to the President of the Republic, and as a trainer and consultant.
Ana Alves, who has a degree in economics and experience in financial administration and risk management in multinational groups, notably Sovena and Siemens, has also been appointed vice-president.
