Lisbon, Jan. 2, 2026 (Lusa) - The Lisbon stock market closed the first session of the new year up 1.66% at 8,400.46 points, following the European trend, with EDP Renováveis rising 4.49%.
Of the 16 companies included in the benchmark PSI (Portuguese Share Index), 14 rose, one fell and Ibersol remained unchanged at €9.90.
EDP Renováveis led the gains, closing today's session at €12.58, followed by Semapa, which rose 3.11% to €21.55.
EDP Renováveis announced on Tuesday that it had completed the sale of a solar portfolio comprising five solar power plants in Spain to Prosolia Energy, with an estimated market value of €160 million. The portfolio includes five solar power plants in operation, located in Andalusia and Castile and León.
Corticeira Amorim (3.03% to €6.81), EDP (2.27% to €4) and Navigator (2.17% to €3.21) rose more than 2% today.
With closing prices rising above 1% were Sonae (1.61% to €1.64), Teixeira Duarte (1.26% to €0.64), Altri (1.11% to €4.55), REN (1.09% to €3.25) and Mota-Engil (1.05% to €5).
Growing below 1% were BCP (0.85% to €0.90), NOS (0.75% to €4.05), Jerónimo Martins (0.69% to €20.40) and Galp (0.17% to €14.65).
CTT was the only listed company to fall, dropping 0.13% to €7.42.
The main European markets closed higher today, with London up 0.20%, Paris 0.56%, Frankfurt 0.20%, Madrid 1.07% and Milan 0.96%.
