Lusa - Business News - Portugal: Stock market closes higher at 8,238.67 points with BCP climbing 2.08%

Lisbon, Dec. 4, 2025 (Lusa) - The Lisbon stock market closed 0.23% higher on Thursday at 8,238.67 points, with BCP gaining 2.08%, following the trend in the rest of Europe.

Of the 16 companies listed on the PSI index, seven rose, seven fell, and Corticeira Amorim and Ibersol remained unchanged at €6.56 and €10.05, respectively.

BCP was the biggest gainer today, closing at €0.86, followed by Navigator, which rose 1.58% to €3.09.

Altri (0.89% to €4.54), EDP (0.75% to €3.88), Galp (0.40% to €17.70), NOS (0.27% to €3.78) and Mota-Engil (0.13% to €4.70).

Leading the declines was Teixeira Duarte, which fell 1.43% to €0.69, followed by Jerónimo Martins, which closed today's session down 1.18% to €20.12.

Also in negative territory were Sonae (0.77% to €1.55), REN (0.46% to €3.28), CTT (0.42% to €7.15), EDP Renováveis (0.34% to €11.82) and Semapa (0.12% to €16.88).

The main European markets closed higher today, with London up 0.19%, Paris 0.43%, Frankfurt 0.79%, Madrid 0.97% and Milan 0.32%.
