ZAGREB, 3 Dec (Hina) - Orqa has expanded production at its Osijek headquarters, lifting annual capacity to 280,000 drones compliant with the U.S. National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), Defence Industry Europe reported.
The move aims to reduce dependence on Chinese supply chains amid rising demand for reliable, China-free military systems.
Orqa said the expanded output is based on in-house components and supported by its vertically integrated model covering design, engineering and manufacturing. CEO Srđan Kovačević said the milestone showed Europe can build secure, independent defence-technology capacities. He added that Orqa had demonstrated high-performance drones can be produced outside China, strengthening resilient global supply chains.
The company said the upgraded facility enhances its engineering and assembly capabilities and will support production of both complete systems and standalone components. Orqa has also begun expanding its model through a decentralised network of strategic international manufacturing partners, securing agreements in several key regions.
