Lusa - Business News - Portugal: Stock market closes with benchmark off slightly, Mota-Engil down 2.32%

Lisbon, Sept. 12, 2025 (Lusa) - The Lisbon stock market closed lower on Friday afternoon, with the PSI index falling 0.08% to 7,748.45 points, in a mostly negative Europe.

Of the 15 companies included in the benchmark PSI (Portuguese Share Index), eight fell and seven rose.

Leading the declines was Mota-Engil, which fell by 2.32% to €5.05.

EDP Renováveis also stood out, falling by 1.45% to €9.84.

With declines of less than 1% were Jerónimo Martins (€21.66), Semapa (€17.84), Altri (€4.90), BCP (€0.72), Corticeira Amorim (€7.57) and Navigator (€3.26).

Going the opposite way, Galp led the gains, rising 1.20% to €16.07, followed by CTT, which rose 1.10% to €7.35.

Gains of less than 1% were recorded by EDP (€1.32), Ibersol (€9.90), NOS (€3.93) and REN (€2.97).

Elsewhere in Europe, London fell by 0.15%, Madrid by 0.09% and Frankfurt by 0.02%, while Paris rose by 0.02%.
