Giorgio Armani's colleagues in the Italian fashion world, along with figures from the sports and entertainment spheres, paid tribute with messages in the death-notice sections of the nation's newspapers on Friday following the legendary designer's death at the age of 91 on Thursday.
    Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana, Ermanno Scervino, Pierluigi Loro Piana, Renzo Rosso, Lavinia Biagiotti, the Ferragamo family, the Valentino fashion house and Gildo Zegna all expressed their respect for his legacy and sorrow at his passing.
    Anna Fendi hailed Armani was a "unique, inimitable master of style" while Beatrice and Gaia Trussardi wrote that "his legacy is not only in the projects he made, but in the minds he formed while he educated the rest of the world about beauty".
