Lisbon, Sept. 4, 2025 (Lusa) - The Lisbon stock market closed higher on Thursday, with the PSI index rising 1.32% to 7,749.33 points, with almost all the shares in the “green”, following the positive trend experienced by the main European counterparts.
Of the 15 listed companies that make up the PSI, 14 ended the session with gains, nine of which above 1%, and Ibersol was unchanged at €9.70.
Leading the gains was Mota-Engil, which rose 3.87% to €5.10, followed by Jerónimo Martins, which gained 2.82% to €21.84 and Semapa, which rose 2.08% to €17.68.
Sonae added 2.04% to €1.30, Altri gained 1.94% to €4.99 and NOS rose 1.81% to €3.94.
Also noteworthy were the ‘heavyweights’ of the stock market, such as BCP, which rose 1.68% to €0.74, EDP Renováveis, which advanced 1.02% to €9.88 and parent company EDP, which appreciated 0.35% to €3.73.
In the rest of Europe, London rose 0.42%, Madrid 0.87% and Frankfurt 0.74%, while Paris bucked the trend and fell 0.27%.
