Lisbon, Aug. 27, 2025 (Lusa) - Havi will invest €200 million in its Havi TechHub technological innovation centre in Lisbon, hire 70 more workers and inaugurate new facilities in the capital, the US company announced on Wednesday.
In a statement, Havi - a global company specialising in integrated solutions for the supply chain, logistics and technology - said it intends to increase the number of workers it employs at Havi TechHub "in the coming months" from the current 80 to 150.
According to the company, "this decision reflects the recognition of national talent, the dynamism of Lisbon's technological ecosystem and the affinity with Portuguese values of innovation, collaboration and vision for the future".
About a year ago, Lisbon was "strategically chosen" by Havi to host its global technological innovation centre, Havi TechHub.
In the statement released today, the US company also announced that “over the next few years”, Havi TechHub will receive an investment of around €200 million, which “will contribute directly to local economic development and to positioning Lisbon as a global technology centre of reference”.
The inauguration of Havi's new facilities in Lisbon, located in Cais do Sodré, is scheduled for 17 September, at an event that will be attended by the company's global president, Neil Humphrey, and Havi's senior vice president and CEO of Havi TechHub, Reto Sahli.
On the occasion, he said, "major technological innovations, investments and other milestones at national and global level" will be presented.
"This inauguration marks a strategic moment for Havi and reaffirms its commitment to Lisbon as the brand's centre of global technological excellence," he said.
Founded in 1974 in Chicago, Havi is present in three dozen markets and has more than 7,000 employees. The company has been in Portugal since 1993 and currently has 250 workers in Lisbon and Porto.
