ALGIERS — The 4 th  Intra-African Trade Fair (IATF), set to take place in Algiers from September 4-12, is expected to deliver substantial benefits in investments, economic diversification and partnerships, affirmed the president of the Forum of Operators for the Guarantee of Economic Emergence in Africa (FOGECA), Amadou Diagne.

Speaking to APS, Diagne noted that the event “will yield significant returns in both investment and industrial diversification, boosting trade and fast-tracking intra-African integration through concrete agreements.”

He said that IATF 2025 will be “a win-win meeting for both Algeria and the entire continent,” noting that “Algeria has the potential to become a continental hub linking the Maghreb to the rest of Africa.”

According to him, this fair serves as “an ideal platform” for realizing the goals of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) by turning discussions into concrete contracts.

“We particularly expect structuring partnerships for SMEs: joint ventures, export agreements, shared logistics and standardization alignment,” he added.
