Jennifer Lopez on Tuesday night wowed a superchic Costa Smeralda resort in the hottest date on the Sardinian riviera's summer calendar.
It was heralded as the most exclusive event of the summer on the Costa Smeralda, and it did not disappoint.
The global star lit up the night at the Cala di Volpe, an iconic hotel on the Costa Smeralda - it was the first built by the Aga Khan 60 years ago and is considered one of the most beautiful in the world, with its uniquely designed rooms.
J.Lo's performance got a crowd of wealthy tourists and celebrities singing and dancing, from Andrea Bocelli to Gigi D'Alessio, Domenico Dolce, and Elisabetta Gregoracci.
And it was to the Dolce & Gabbana designer, seated at one of the poolside tables, that J.Lo dedicated her new hit "Birthday" from the stage, wishing her friend Domenico a happy birthday.
"Everyday it's my birthday," sang Jenny From The Block, having just turned 56 and looking great.
From the Bronx to the top of the world, actress, producer, singer, and entrepreneur, J.Lo is the only female artist to have simultaneously topped both the music and film charts.
She has grossed over $3 billion at the global box office, sold more than 80 million records, and garnered billions of streams and views across her music and music videos.
The Puerto Rican-born star returned to Italy after the sole stop on her world tour on July 21st in Lucca.
An event for a thousand lucky and wealthy tourists from every corner of the world, preceded by displays, artistic performances, DJ sets, and the inevitable final show with fireworks illuminating the Emerald Gulf.
And who knows if, after the minor mishap in Istanbul a few days ago, when during a shopping trip to luxury boutiques JLo couldn't buy anything at Chanel because the store was too crowded and the security guard, who didn't recognize her, wouldn't let her in, the global star will take advantage of her presence in Porto Cervo to shop in the luxury boutiques of the Costa Smeralda.
At 11 p.m.
sharp, J.Lo arrived on the stage set up poolside.
No one was allowed to get close to the show, but she delivered an hour and a quarter of pure energy, retracing her entire career without a moment's pause.
From "Jenny From the Block," heralded by "We Are the Champions" and "We Will Rock You" by Queen, which acted as a prelude to her entrance on stage, to "Get Right," "Birthday," the ballad "Waiting for Tonight," and the grand finale with "On the Floor." An explosive show of music, choreography, and dance from the stage to the catwalk set up by the Cala del Volpe pool, with the audience all on their feet singing and dancing.
J.lo bade farewell to Sardinia, toasted summer, and provided unforgettable emotions.
