Lisbon, Aug. 7, 2025 (Lusa) - The Lisbon stock market closed higher on Thursday, with the PSI rising 0.27% to 7,762.45 points, with Mota-Engil standing out with a 4% increase.
Of the 15 companies listed on the benchmark PSI (Portuguese Share Index), eight rose and seven fell.
Leading the gains was Mota-Engil, which rose 4% to €5.18.
Among the main gainers were Altri, which rose 3.37% to €5.06, BCP, which rose 2.89% to €0.76, Navigator, which added 2.65% to €3.26, CTT, which gained 2.01% to €7.61, and Semapa, which rose 1.14% to €17.74.
With increases of less than 1% were Sonae SGPS (€1.29) and Ibersol (€9.64).
Going in the opposite direction, EDP led the declines, falling 1.29% to €3.67, followed by Galp, which fell 1% to €16.39.
With losses of less than 1% are EDP Renováveis (€10.05), Jerónimo Martins (€21.08), REN (€2.96), NOS (€3.71) and Corticeira Amorim (€7.67).
In the rest of Europe, the main indexes in Frankfurt rose 1.12%, Madrid 1.06% and Paris 0.97%, while London fell 0.69%.
