Lisbon, Aug. 6, 2025 (Lusa) - The Lisbon stock market closed higher on Wednesday, with the PSI index rising 0.40% to 7,741.34 points, in line with the positive trend in the rest of Europe.

Of the 15 companies listed on the benchmark PSI (Portuguese Stock Index), nine rose, five fell and REN remained unchanged at €2.98.

Leading the gains was Mota-Engil, which rose 3.71% to €4.98.

Also noteworthy were Altri, which rose 1.35% to €4.89, Galp, which added 1.13% to €16.56, Sonae SGPS, which grew 1.10% to €1.28, NOS, which rose 1.08% to €3.73, and Navigator, which increased 1.02% to €3.17.

Gains of less than 1% were recorded by CTT (€7.46) and Semapa (€17.54).

On the other hand, Ibersol led the declines, falling 1.44% to €9.60.

With losses of less than 1% were EDP Renováveis (€10.14), EDP (€3.72), Corticeira Amorim (€7.72) and Jerónimo Martins (€21.26).

In the rest of Europe, the main benchmark of Madrid rose 0.90%, Frankfurt 0.33%, London 0.24% and Paris 0.18%.
