ANSA - InCanto School pupils perform La Traviata at Expo 2025 Osaka

Children on stage at the Festival Station

Children taking part in the InCanto School project have performed at the Festival Station at Expo 2025 Osaka.
The two concerts organized in cooperation with the Italy Pavilion included arias from Giuseppe Verdi's opera La Traviata.
The young artists were guided on stage by two professional opera singers, impressing the many visitors who attended the performances.
InCanto School (Scuola InCanto) is a project sponsored by the musical association Europa InCanto.
It is dedicated to promoting Europe's cultural heritage and in particular opera.
It is also a didactic tool to make European culture accessible to all, especially young audiences.
Each year, the project focuses on the study of an adapted version of a masterpiece in the opera repertoire, involving children in the production process.
The experience culimates in a final performance that is open to the public.
The concerts at the Festival Station, thanks to the collaboration with the non-profit association OperaMus, allowed students of the One World International School in Osaka to take part in the initiative.
Together with the educators of OperaMus, pupils studied and performed adapted versions of arias from La Traviata, becoming the protagonists of an artistic and cultural experience of great value.
The event has been funded by the European Union-Expo 2025 Osaka and has been developed by the European External Action Service.
