TIRANA, July 12/ATA/ In context of reorganization of Police structures aiming at improvement of leadership at the local level, Director General of the State Police Ilir Proda has appointed police officer Edjona Dano as the head of Kuçova Police Station.

Dano was head of the Department for Prevention of Domestic Violence and the Protection of Minors in Tirana Police station. While previously she held the position of head of Section for Investigation of Crimes at the Police Station no. 6 in Tirana.

The police issued a statement reading that, “Through these decisions, Director General Ilir Proda gives a clear message: Trust in women in uniform, meritocracy and respect for sacrifice are not just slogans, but principles that will guide the management of the State Police”./m.q/j.p/p.s./
