Lisbon, July 9, 2025 (Lusa) - The Lisbon stock market closed in positive territory on Wednesday, with the PSI index rising 0.75% to 7,791.75 points, on a day marked by gains in most major European markets.
Of the 15 companies listed on the PSI, 12 rose, two fell and one (Navigator) closed unchanged.
Leading the gains was Mota-Engil, which rose 4.31% to €4.21.
Among the main rises were CTT, which rose 2.53% to €8.11, EDP Renováveis, which rose 1.99% to €10.25, and EDP, which rose 1.19% to €3.86.
Altri (€4.91), Navigator (€17.18), REN (€3.10), Galp (€16.52) and, for example, BCP (€0.68) each recorded gains of less than 1%.
On the other hand, Ibersol dropped 0.21% to €9.72 and Corticeira Amorim fell 0.13 % to €7.96.
In the rest of Europe, Frankfurt rose 1.42%, Madrid 1.24%, Paris 1.44% and London 0.14%.
Markets are still reacting to the extension of the deadline set by the US for imposing new tariffs until 1 August, while the country has already begun sending letters with new tariffs to some partners, such as Japan and South Korea, with the rates it imposed unilaterally.
