Lusa - Business News - Angola: State collects €3.3B in non-oil revenues in 2025 H1

Luanda, July 7, 2025 (Lusa) - The Angolan government has collected 3.6 billion kwanzas (€3.3 billion) in non-oil revenue in the first half of this year, the head of the Angolan tax authority announced on Monday.

According to the chairman of the board of directors of the General Tax Administration, José Leiria, non-oil tax revenues “are in line with the provisions of the General State Budget”.

“And our perspective is to continue working so that, with regard to non-oil tax revenue, we can deliver the expected revenue to the public accounts,” he stressed.

With regard to oil tax revenue, José Leiria said that it is experiencing collection difficulties because it depends “on many external factors”.

“And as we have some challenges, mainly in terms of price volatility, we are seeing reduced revenue compared to what is forecast in the State Budget,” he said.

Angola’s 2025 State Budget forecasts oil revenues of 10.9 trillion kwanzas (just over €10 billion), 64% of total tax revenues expected for the current financial year.
