ALGIERS- The Sultanate of Oman will be the guest of honor at the 56th Algiers International Fair (FIA), which will kick off on Monday at the Pins Maritimes Exhibition Centre, under the high patronage of the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune.

Placed under the slogan “For shared and sustainable cooperation,” this edition is organized under the aegis of the Ministry of Domestic Trade and National Market Regulation, said Tuesday a communiqué of Algeria Exhibitions, a subsidiary of the Algerian Company of Fairs and Exhibitions (SAFEX).

The fair will feature national and international companies operating in key sectors, including food processing, electrical, mechanical and manufacturing industries, steel production, construction, public works, and services, said the source, adding that a direct sales space will also be available.

Oman was selected as guest of honor due to “the momentum in Algerian-Omani relations, particularly following recent high-level visits between the leaders of both countries, which resulted in the signing of several memorandums of understanding in different fields,” said the source.

Considered as one of the major international economic events, the FIA aims to shed light on the development of the national economy and its production capacities and to contribute to the strengthening of commercial and professional exchanges by ensuring a favorable environment for partnership and foreign direct investment in various sectors.
