ALGIERS- The ambassador of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland to Algeria, James Robert Stephen Downer, said Tuesday that the two countries had made significant progress in terms of bilateral cooperation in various important sectors.
In a statement following the audience granted to him by the President of the Republic Abdelmadjid Tebboune, Downer said that the two countries were making significant progress in many important sectors, including Justice, Defence, Education and Trade.
He said that he discussed regional and international issues with the President of the Republic, stressing that he was satisfied to notice that Algeria and the UK share the same approaches and concerns, describing them as extremely important.
The audience was held in the presence of the chief of staff to the presidency of the Republic, Boualem Boualem, and the advisor to the President of the Republic for diplomatic affairs, Amar Abba.
