Before World Refugee Day, which is observed every year on June 20th, the Refugee Week will return to Greece for the fourth year, aiming to celebrate the resilience, diversity, and creativity of people experiencing displacement.
From June 16th to 22nd, through various events, activities, and workshops, the organisers will seek to foster a deeper understanding of the challenges faced by displaced individuals and highlight the positive impact they have.
“ From meals and outdoor film screenings to football matches and music, let’s share the feelings of welcome and belonging. We listen, learn, and laugh together. It’s amazing what we can achieve when we move together toward a common goal. So, let’s redefine and rediscover our collective power to shape a hopeful future, and let’s start by practicing, celebrating, and repeating this every day,” the organisers’ announcement stated.
