CNA - Tourism revenue up nearly 25% during the first quarter of 2025

For the period of January – March 2025, revenue from tourism is estimated at €278.3 mn compared to €223.3 mn in the corresponding period of 2024, recording an increase of 24.6%, according to data published on Friday by the Cyprus Statistical Service.

Based on the results of the Passengers Survey carried out by the Statistical Service, revenue from tourism reached €129.4 mn in March 2025, recording an impressive increase of 14.5%, compared to the corresponding month of the previous year (€113 mn).

Expenditure Analysis

The average expenditure per person was €644.65 in March 2025 compared to €558.88 in March 2024, recording an increase of 15.3%.

Tourists from the United Kingdom (the largest tourist market with 30.7% of the total tourists in March 2025) spent on average €78.87 per day, while tourists from Israel (the second largest market during the specific month with 14.1% of the total tourists) spent on average €194.69.

Tourists from Poland (the third largest market with 9.9%), spent on average €76.07 per day.
