Lusa - Business News - Portugal: Greenvolt agrees sale of four wind farms in Poland for €83.3 M

Lisbon, May 27, 2025 (Lusa) - Greenvolt, a Portuguese renewable energy company, announced on Tuesday that it has agreed to sell four wind farms in Poland to Énea Nowa Energia for €83.3 million.

The four farms, located in different regions of Poland, have an installed production capacity of 33.2 megawatts (MW) and, according to a statement from Greenvolt, are at different stages of development.

Among the portfolio of parks to be sold is the Skibno park (located in the north-west of the country), which is already in operation and has an installed capacity of 10 MW.

"Three projects equipped with Vestas V110 turbines, one of the most advanced technologies available on the market, are in the construction phase, with commissioning dates set for 2026," the statement saus, specifying that the Zaklików park (located in the Subcarpathia region) has an installed capacity of 10 MW.

The Nowe Miasto Lucawskie and Jabłonowo Pomorskie parks (both in the north of the country) have a production capacity of 6.6 MW each.

Quoted in the statement, Greenvolt CEO João Manso Net, said that the sale of this portfolio of four wind farms confirms the company's ability to execute and deliver large-scale energy assets, as well as its ability to valorise and sell them.

Manso Neto also recalled that, in April, the company had already announced the conclusion of two transactions totalling €250 million, which he said materialises "part of the Group's strategy that includes the sale of this type of project at different stages of implementation."

He was referring to the completion of the sale of the Sompolno hybrid project and the Pelplin wind farm, the latter having been sold to the same entity that is now acquiring this latest portfolio, Enea Nowa Energia, with these two transactions resulting in a capital contribution of around €250 million.

In the large-scale projects segment, the Greenvolt group has a portfolio of 13.2 gigawatts (GW) in 18 countries, pursuing a strategy of asset rotation by disposing of 70% to 80% of its assets.

In Poland, where the energy producer has been operating for around 18 years through a unit now named Greenvolt Power, the portfolio includes 731 MW of wind power, 1,878 MW of solar power and 2,712 MW of energy storage.
