Lisbon, May 5, 2025 (Lusa) - The Lisbon stock market closed higher on Monday, with the PSI index gaining 0.49% to 6,999.68 points, in a mostly positive Europe.
Of the 15 companies listed on the benchmark PSI (Portuguese stock index), eight rose, five fell and CTT and Corticeira Amorim remained unchanged at €7.72 and €7.63, respectively.
Leading the gains was Ibersol, which rose 3.04% to €9.50.
Among the main gains were EDP Renováveis, which rose 2.64% to €8.37, and EDP, which rose 1.30% to €3.27.
With increases of less than 1% were NOS (€3.70), Semapa (€17.36), Sonae SGPS (€1.13), Galp (€13.76) and REN (€2.88).
In the opposite direction, BCP led the declines, falling 1.10% to €0.58.
With declines of less than 1% were Mota-Engil (€3.69), Navigator (€3.39), Altri (€6.15) and Jerónimo Martins (€21.28).
In the rest of Europe, Frankfurt rose 1.12% and Madrid 0.53%, while Paris fell 0.55%.
The London stock market is closed today due to the Early May Bank holiday.
