TIRANA, April 11/ATA/ Albania’s unemployment rate drops into the record-low of 8.8%.

Minister of Economy, Culture and Innovation Blendi Gonxhja shared in the social media the official statistics on this key element writing that, “Albania marks another historic achievement”.

“Unemployment for the age group 15 and older has dropped to 8.8%, the lowest level ever recorded”, said Gonxhja.

According to him, this indicator is the result of sustainable employment reforms, support for the youth, women and groups in need, as well as the promotion of vocational education and training.

Gonxhja expressed the government’s commitment to continue efforts for creation of more opportunities and an all-embracing labor market. /j.p/p.s./
